Position: Legal Staff - Legal Department

Location: Tokyo

Basic Information Job Description:

Primary Duties:

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, terms of service (in Japanese and English).

  • Responding to legal inquiries.

  • Creating, maintaining, and revising internal regulations.

  • Compliance-related tasks.

Related Tasks (Tasks that may need to be addressed in the future):

  • General management of intellectual property rights (collaboration with patent office).

  • Corporate governance-related tasks.

  • Risk management tasks.

  • Various registration-related tasks.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of legal practice experience in a listed company or 3 years of corporate legal experience in a major law firm.

  • Experience in reviewing English contracts.

  • TOEIC score of 860 or equivalent English proficiency.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing, battery market, power market, or IT industry.

  • Proficiency in various business models.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Skilled in coordinating internally and externally.

  • Enjoys and adapts flexibly to constantly changing situations.

  • Takes initiative in identifying and addressing issues.

Working Hours:

  • Core working hours: 11:00 to 15:00 (Flextime system with a 60-minute break)

  • Determined by the company whether to work in the office or remotely

  • Business trips may be required


  • Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 to January 4), and other days designated by the company

  • Paid holidays: 12 days in the first year (5 days granted upon joining, 7 days granted after 6 months)

  • Bereavement leave, etc.

Probationary Period: 3 months
